Razorback Harriers Picked to Take SEC Title in

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas led the preseason polls as decided by the Southeastern Conference cross country coaches and was picked to bring home the trophy in 2003.
Winner of 12-straight SEC titles, the Razorbacks were the choice to continue their reign as they received all but two first-place votes and tallied 78 points. The Hogs will be poised to capture their 13th-consecutive SEC crown to give them a total of 30-straight conference titles, dating back to 1974 when Arkansas won 17 Southwest Conference titles.
Florida was second in the preseason poll with 67 points. Georgia was next in third with 61, while Alabama was fourth with 59 and Kentucky took the fifth place spot with 53 points.
The 2003 SEC Cross Country Championships will be held on November 3, when UA travels to Athens, Ga. The new cross country season is set to start with the Arkansas Invitational on September 5, at 7 p.m., on the Razorback Cross Country Course.
