Arkansas is 12-4 overall and 0-3 in the SEC heading into Saturday’s 12:05 p.m. home game against Auburn (11-7, 1-3). The game is being televised by Raycom Sports. The game airs in Arkansas on KHOG/KHBS in Northwest Arkansas, KATV in Little Rock and KAIT in Jonesboro.

Junior pre-season All-SEC forward Michael Washington is the only player in the Southeastern Conference averaging a double-double. He had 21 points and eight rebounds at Florida, and now has season averages of 17.3 points and 10.3 rebounds. He was 8-of-11 shooting against the Gators to improve his field goal percentage to .596, which is fourth-best in the SEC.

Washington had scored a total of 239 points for his career entering the season, an average of 3.9 points per game. Sixteen games into his junior season, he has 277 points, 17.3 per game.

With Michael Washington and Michael Sanchez in foul trouble at Florida, senior Marcus Monk took advantage of his opportunity and logged a career-high 28 minutes. He also set career highs with eight shots attempts and four shots made, and finished with 10 points and five rebounds. His point and rebound totals are his second bests of the season to the 12 and six, respectively, he had in the win over No. 4 Oklahoma.

Sophomore guard Marcus Britt, highly regarded for his defense, helped more than usual on the offensive end at Florida. He made 3-of-4 shots and was 2-of-2 at the line to finish with nine points, two rebounds and three assists with no turnovers in 23 minutes. Following his career-high 15-point performance against Northwestern State earlier in the year, he scored two points in the next four games. Over the last two games, he is eighth on the team in minutes played, but first in field goal percentage (.714, 5-7), first in three-point percentage (.500, 1-2), tied for first in free throw percentage (1.000, 2-2), second with four assists, tied for second with two steals and fifth in scoring (6.5).

Point guard Courtney Fortson is the only freshman in the country ranked among the nations top 30 in assists per game. He is 12th nationally and second in the SEC with an average of 6.4.
