Arkansas is 13-5 overall and 1-4 in the SEC heading into Saturday’s game at LSU. The LSU game is being televised by Fox Sports Net (FSN) at 4 p.m.

Rotnei Clarke scored a season-high 26 points against Alabama on Thursday. That is the best point total for an Arkansas freshman since Patrick Beverley began the 2007 season with a 29-point outing against Southeast Missouri State. In Clarke’s previous five games, he had scored a total of 25 points and made five threes. He beat that point total by one and made six threes against the Crimson Tide.

Pre-season All-SEC forward Michael Washington had 17 points and just five rebounds against Alabama, but he is still the only player in the league averaging a double-double (16.8 ppg, 10.1 rpg).

The Razorbacks were 28-of-35 at the free-throw line against Alabama. Arkansas made its final 18 free throws, including going 14-of-14 in the final 3:20 after Alabama closed within 75-69.

Arkansas led Alabama at the half, 38-31. That was the first halftime advantage for the Razorbacks since Dec. 30 when the led Oklahoma 53-38 at the break.

Jason Henry had a season-high matching eight rebounds against Alabama and is averaging 5.0 over the last four games.

Courtney Fortson had nine assists with just three turnovers against Alabama, along with eight points, three rebounds and three steals. He’s had seven or more assists in a game nine times.

In seven seasons as a head coach, John Pelphrey’s teams are 45-3 when scoring 80 or more points, including 20-0 at Arkansas.
