Razorback Golfers Look for Second Straight Tournament Title at Wolf Pack Classic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s golf team ventures to Reno, Nev., on Monday in search of its second straight tournament title at the Wolf Pack Classic.

The Razorbacks join an 18-team field hosted by the University of Nevada at the Wolf Run Golf Club. The par-72, 7,100-yard layout plays host to 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes scheduled for Tuesday. The teams will tee off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. CT.

Arkansas captured its first tournament title since April 13, 2003, last month with a share of a title at the Del Walker Intercollegiate. UA was led by redshirt freshman Jason Turner’s third-place finish.

The Hogs will send the same five-man team out on the course Monday with Tuner, senior Beau Glover, sophomore transfers Andrew Landry and Jason Cuthbertson and junior Barrett Lais.

Junior Scotty Campbell will also see his first action of the season, competing as an individual on Monday and Tuesday.

Turner is the Razorbacks leading scorer after firing a season-opening 213 (E) at the Del Walker Invitational.

The Wolf Pack Classic includes host Nevada, Air Force, Boise State, Colrado State, Denver, Fresno State Gonzaga, Hawai’i, Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, New Mexico State, Southern Utah, Texas-Arlington, UTEP, Utah and Wyoming.

Last season the Hogs finished tied for third at the Wolf Pack Classic with an 8-under-par 856.
