Razorback Golfers Open Play at Callaway Golf Invitational

SAN DIEGOThe Arkansas golf team continues its spring schedule at the 2007 Callaway Golf Invitational at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe on Monday at Tuesday.

The Razorbacks, led by first-year head coach Brad McMakin, will play 36 holes on Monday to open the event before the 18 holes on Tuesday.

Sophomore Andrew Landry and his 72.5 scoring average lead the Hogs against a 15-team field host by the University of San Diego. Redshirt freshman Stephen Cox will make the trip along with sophomore Jason Turner, true freshman Frederico Colombo and redshirt freshman Dalton Owens.

Cal Poly SLO, Colorado State, Denver, Long Beach State, Nevada-Reno, host San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Saint Mary’s, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and the Texas-Arlington will join the Razorbacks.

The Farms Golf Club is a par-72 layout plays to 6,911 yards with a 73.9 rating and 143 slope. The Farms Golf Club was originally built in 1988 by Pete Dye and later remodeled in 2000 by the team of John Fought and Tom Lehman.
