FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas dropped a three-set match to No. 19 Kentucky in Barnhill Arena Sunday.

The Razorbacks (6-20, 3-12) fell 19-25, 13-25, 7-25 to the Wildcats (23-4, 14-2 SEC) who rebounded from a league loss at Ole Miss Friday.

“Our effort and energy just wasn’t there today,” said Arkansas head coach Robert Pulliza. “We were flat, especially in sets two and three and we struggled to pass consistently.”

Arkansas hit just .020 with nine kills from senior leader Christina Lawrence and eight from junior Kristin Seaton.

The Wildcats out-hit Arkansas .462-.020 and out blocked the Razorbacks 17-1 in the match. Kentucky had two players in double-digits in their win.

Arkansas continues SEC action next weekend traveling to Mississippi State and Alabama in the final road matches of the 2008 season. The Razorbacks have three more home matches remaining.
