@RazorbackMTEN Falls At Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team was defeated by Oklahoma State, 5-2, at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Sunday.

With the loss, the Razorbacks fell to 5-3 overall, while the Cowboys improved to 6-2.

Oklahoma State got momentum on its side early, winning the doubles point by taking the No. 1 and 3 spots.

Playing in the No. 5 position, freshman David Herrerias claimed the first singles win of the day for Arkansas. Herrerias battled through three sets to better Jurence Mendoza 6-3, 3-6, 6-0. Picking up his first victory against a ranked opponent as a Razorback, junior Giammarco Micolani defeated No. 94 Jacob Sude 6-4, 7-6 (4), 10-8 in the No. 1 spot.

Sophomore Juan Marino fought through three sets as well, but ultimately fell to Nicoli Ferrigno 6-3, 3-6, 6-0 in the No. 6 position.

Arkansas will next host Tulsa at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center at 5 p.m., CT on Thursday.
