FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Coming off a solid fall performance, the Arkansas men’s tennis team turns its attention to the 2018 spring slate that was released on Friday.
After featuring 12 home dates a year ago, the 2018 schedule has 10 home dates. The Razorbacks hit the road more in the new season and as the number of road matches rises, so do the quality of opponents. The Razorbacks will face nine opponents that finished the 2017 season ranked in the top 25
Arkansas’ opening weekend features trips to teams the Razorbacks hosted a year ago in Tulsa and Oklahoma. The Hogs will take on the Golden Hurricane on Jan. 12, then travel to Norman to face the Sooners on Jan. 14.
The Razorbacks road non-conference schedule also includes matches against SMU (Feb. 9), Texas (Feb. 11) and Central Florida (March 21).
Arkansas will host Oklahoma State (Jan. 21), Memphis (Jan. 28), Wichita State (Feb. 3), Saint Louis (Feb. 3) and a double header with Nebraska-Omaha (April 1).
The Razorbacks begin SEC play at home, hosting LSU (March 2) and Texas A&M (March 4). Arkansas will also host Tennessee (March 16), Georgia (March 18), Alabama (April 1) and Ole Miss (April 15).
Arkansas has three road SEC weekends beginning March 9 at Kentucky. They have a Sunday match up at Vanderbilt on March 11. The Razorbacks will also travel to South Carolina (March 23), Florida (March 25), Mississippi State (April 6) and Auburn (April 8).
