Razorbacks Continue Fall Campaign

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Coming off an impressive run at the USTA/ITA Central Regional Championships two weeks ago, the Arkansas women’s tennis team will continue its tournament season at the Missouri State Fall Invitational Friday through Saturday at the Cooper Tennis Complex.

The tournament will feature student athletes from six different schools. The quartet of senior co-captain Sasha Shkorupeieva, junior Peyton Jennings, sophomore Agne Cepelyte and freshman Natsuho Arakawa will represent the Razorbacks.

Doubles action gets underway at 9 a.m. CDT as Arakawa and Cepelyte face Southeastern Missouri State’s Kseniya Zonova and Anais Emelie, while Shkorupeieva and Jennings take on Louisiana Tech’s Haley Ballinger and Jill van den Dungen.

Arakawa opens singles play at 9:45 a.m. CDT against Missouri State’s Anelisse Torrico, while Cepelyte plays against Southeastern Missouri State’s Oleksandra Doroshenko and Shkorupeieva takes on Missouri State’s Rina Donetskova. Jennings takes the court at 11:15 a.m. CDT to face Missouri State’s Abbey Belote.
