Razorbacks Fall At FGCU Invite

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team continued play at the FGCU Fall Invite, as Austin Robles and Branch Terrell took on players from Division II member Barry University in doubles and singles action on Saturday.

After picking up their first win playing doubles together Friday, Robles and Terrell fell to the Barry team of Carlos Gomez and Pierre Montrieul, 6-4. In singles play, Terrell lost to Vivien Versier, 6-2, 6-1, while Robles was defeated by Daniel Ventura, 6-4, 6-4.

 “Austin and Branch played better today than yesterday,” head coach Andy Jackson said. “We play the guys from FAU tomorrow and will try to continue to get better this weekend.”

Robles and Terrell, representing Arkansas, conclude play at the FGCU Fall Invite against Florida Atlantic on Sunday at 9 a.m.
