Razorbacks Fall To No. 8 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. — No. 8 Georgia earned a 4-0 victory Thursday night over Arkansas at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

The Bulldogs (14-5, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) won a tightly contested doubles point. No. 7 ranked Bulldogs Elena Christofi and Morgan Coppoc picked up the first win, 7-5, at the top spot. Razorbacks Agne Cepelyte and Natsuho Arakawa responded with a 6-4 win at No. 3, but Georgia’s No. 17 ranked pair of Katarina Jokic and Mariana Gould clinched the point with a 7-5 victory at No. 2.

In singles, Georgia won consecutive victories at No. 6, 5 and 2. At the clinch, Giulia Pairone and Arakawa were battling in third sets, while Tatum Rice led 6-5 in the second set after surrendering the first.
