The Arkansas Coaching Tree
Remember that game “Seven Degrees from Kevin Bacon”? Well, you could play that with the Arkansas coaching staff. Razorback head coach Mike Neighbors was a director of ops under Gary Blair. Blair is currently the head coach at Texas A&M. Blair’s associate head coach is Kelly Bond-White who was an assistant with Blair at Arkansas. TAMU’s assistant coach Amy Wright played at Arkansas for Blair. Mississippi State head coach Vic Schaefer was an assistant at Arkansas under Blair while Neighbors was the director of ops. Schaefer and his associate head coach Johnnie Harris were both at Arkansas and followed Blair to Texas A&M before taking over at Mississippi State.
Arkansas wraps up the regular season with a trip to Vanderbilt on Sunday. It is a 2 p.m. tip and airs on the SECN+. The SEC Tournament begins Wednesday with two games and continues through the weekend. Stay tuned after the final game for the compete bracket and schedule.
