Razorbacks Host No. 6 Kentucky at Barnhill Arena

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Hosting its second top-10 team of the season, the University of Arkansas volleyball team return to Barnhill Arena for the final week of the regular season which begins Wednesday against sixth-ranked Kentucky. First serve of the SEC matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT). The Razorbacks carry an 18-10 overall record and have won nine of 11 on their home floor this season. Tickets are $5 while UA students and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

All-Time Series vs Kentucky
Wednesday’s match marks the first meeting of the season between Arkansas and Kentucky and the 39th in the series. The Wildcats have won the previous six meetings. Arkansas has won nine of the 19 matches played at Barnhill Arena. In addition to its No. 6 national ranking, Kentucky (24-3, 15-1 SEC) is the top-ranked team in the latest release of the RPI.

Last Time Out
Okiana Valle had a match-high 15 digs while Hailey Dirrigl and Pilar Victoria tallied 15 and 12 kills, respectively, in a four-set road loss at Missouri (Nov. 19). With the setback, Arkansas dropped to 8-8 in SEC play.

Among the Nation’s Best
Redshirt senior Pilar Victoria enters the week as the NCAA leader with 599 kills and is second in the nation with 5.45 kills per set. With one kill, she will become just the second player in program history with 600 kills in a single season.

Digging In
With 15 digs against Missouri (Nov. 19), junior Okiana Valle moved into third on the program’s career digs list. With her seventh dig of the match, she moved past Yarleen Santiago and enters the match with 1,286 career digs.

Dirrigl Reaches 300
Hailey Dirrigl is the 10th freshman in program history with 300 kills in a single season, and the first to reach the mark since 2009. The Phoenix, Ariz., native is averaging 3.06 kills per set with a .250 hitting percentage during SEC play.

Rippee Makes Six
With her second assist at Missouri (Nov. 19), Rachel Rippee became the sixth Arkansas setter to record 1,200 assists in a single season. Rippee enters the match ranked second in the SEC and 21st in the NCAA with 11.25 assists per set.
