Razorbacks Move Up Leaderboard In Cabo

Final Results

LOS CABOS, Mexico – The No. 26 Arkansas men’s golf team made the biggest move of the day during the final round of the 2017 Querencia Cabo Collegiate, sliding up three spots to finish ninth overall at Querencia Golf Club.

The Razorbacks saved their best round for Tuesday, firing a 5-under 279 to post a three-day total of 292-291-279 – 862 (+10) and finish ninth overall in the field of 15 teams. Arkansas knocked off three ranked squads, including No. 5 Georgia, No. 29 Ole Miss and No. 30 Florida State.

Freshman William Buhl had the round of the day with a 5-under 66 to record his best finish of the spring season at T-25th with rounds of 74-73-66 – 213 (E). Buhl nearly had a clean card with six birdies and just one bogey as he vaulted 17 spots up the leaderboard.

Junior Alvaro Ortiz followed with a final round 73 and finished the three-day event T-35th overall at 69-75-73 – 217 (+4), while freshman Dylan Naidoo was one shot back of his teammate and T-42nd after signing for 72-74-72 – 218 (+5).

Freshman Mason Overstreet carded a final round 3-under 68 to finish T-50th (+7) overall and freshman Luis Garza rounded out the team T-50th at 11-over for the championship.

Alec Tahy competed as an individual and his final round 3-under 68 left him T-59th overall at 10-over for the event.

The Razorbacks will have two weeks off before returning to the course on Monday, March 13 at the Southern Intercollegiate in Athens, Georgia.
