Razorbacks Ranked Third in Latest National Cro


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas is holding steady at No. 3 in the latest MONDO Men’s National Cross Country Rankings released on Tuesday.
The Razorbacks tallied 365 points including two first place votes. Arkansas has won its only two outings this season with victories at the Arkansas Invitational and the Cowboy Jamboree. The Razorbacks are seeking their fourth straight and 12th NCAA title overall in 2001.
Colorado is atop the poll with points and 14 first-place votes. Arkansas and Colorado are the only schools receiving first-place votes in the listing.
Stanford is ranked second while Wisconsin and Notre Dame come in at fourth and fifth, respectively.
Arkansas hosts the Chile Pepper Invitational this Saturday in Fayetteville. The Chile Pepper field also includes Abilene Christian, Texas-El Paso and sixth-ranked Portland. The men’s collegiate race begins at 9:30 a.m. with the women’s collegiate race set for 10:30 a.m.
