Razorbacks Remain on Top in Regional Poll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas men’s cross country team remains on top this week in the NCAA South Central Regional Coaches Poll released on Tuesday.
After running a perfect race for the second straight week at the Missouri Southern Stampede on Saturday, the Razorbacks once again grabbed the top spot in the poll by receiving all of the first-place votes. Rounding out the top five are Tulane, SMU, Texas and Rice.
The South Central regional title will be decided at the District VI Championship in Denton, Texas, on Nov. 11.
At the Missouri Southern Stampede, the Razorbacks grabbed the fist five finishes and were led again by senior All-American James Karanu. The Razorbacks do not compete this week but will return to action on Sept. 30 at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla.
