Razorbacks Ready For Home Opener

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After a three-match road swing in California, the Arkansas women’s tennis team returns to Dills Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday to host Oklahoma.

The Series
Arkansas holds a 17-14 advantage over Oklahoma in the all-time series, dating back to 1980. The Razorbacks won the previous meeting by a score of 4-3 in Fayetteville on Jan. 25, 2015. Current senior co-captains Shannon Hudson and Sasha Shkorupeieva each earned singles wins en route to the Razorbacks’ victory.

Last Time Out
Arkansas wrapped up a three-match road swing in California last weekend. The Razorbacks opened with a 7-0 win at UC Riverside on Jan. 27, in Riverside, California, and went on to compete at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, on Jan. 28-29. The Razorbacks were edged out by NC State 4-3 before being set back by UNLV 4-1. Arkansas freshman standout Natsuho Arakawa went 3-0 in singles on the weekend, extending her win streak to 10 matches and improving her overall record to a team-best 13-3 with a 5-0 mark in dual match play.
