INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Four Razorbacks will compete at the 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Thursday, March 16 through Saturday, March 18.

Senior Mary Margaret Soderberg will compete in the 200 IM, 100 breast and 200 breast. Soderberg is having a strong senior campaign after her 200 breast performance at the SEC Championships. Soderberg’s finals time of 2:10.54 is the fastest on the team this season, while her prelim time of 2:11.36 ranks second. She has four of the top-five times on the team this season in the 200 breast and ranks third on the school’s all-time top performers list in the event. Soderberg also holds the top time on the team this season in the 200 IM (1:59.30) and the fourth fastest in the 100 breast (1:02.08), both set at the Georgia Tech Invitational earlier in the year.

Making her third consecutive NCAA Championship appearance, junior Chelsea Tatlow was a member of the quartet last season for the Razorbacks that finished 24th overall in the 800 freestyle relay. Tatlow enters the Championships holding the top-three times on the team in the 200 fly, including the second-fastest in school history (1:55.82), that she hit at the NCAA Last Chance meet to win the finals. Along with the 200 fly, Tatlow will also compete in the 200 IM and the 100 back where she holds four of the top-five times on the team in both events.

Ayumi Macias is the second freshman (Tatlow) to qualify for the NCAA Championships as an individual in nine years. The distance swimmer will compete in the 200, 500 and 1650 freestyle. Macias ranks in the top five of each event on the school all-time performers list, while holding the top time by a Razorback in all three this season.

The lone a diver Arkansas competing is junior Nicole Gillis. Gillis enters the championships, looking to improve upon her first career appearance a year ago, as the Johannesburg, South Africa, native posted a six-dive total of 279.00 for a 20th-place finish in the 1m and a score of 293.10 in the 3m for a 25th-place finish. She holds the top-five scores in each event this season on the team, including two scored in school history in the 1m and three of the top-four.
