Razorbacks Slip to 11th at SEC Golf Championsh

ST. SIMON ISLAND, Ga. – Eric Shriver fired another impressive round of 72 (2-over) on Saturday in the second round of the SEC Golf Championships on the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club.
Shriver’s performance left him in a tie for fifth place with a score of 4-over-par 144, just three strokes behind tournament leader Richard Scott of Georgia (141).
The Razorbacks as a team shot a 24-over-par 304 in the second round to slip to 11th place overall as a team with a two-round score of 609 (49-over).
Florida leads the tournament with a two-day total of 586 (26-over) with Auburn just five strokes behind at 591 (31-over). Kentucky is in third place with a two-round score of 592 (32-over) and Georgia fourth at 594.
Matt Bortis is in 31st place headed into Sunday’s final round with a score of 152. He shot a 7-over-par round of 77 on Saturday, struggling home double bogeys on the 16th and 18th holes.
Scotty Campbell is tied for 49th place with a two-round score of 157 after shooting a 6-over-par 76 on Saturday. Barrett Lais and Beau Glover rounded out the Hogs scoring with rounds of 79 and 82 respectively on Saturday. Lais is in 52nd place with an overall score of 159 and Glover is close on his heels in 53rd place with a two-day total of 160.
The final round will be played on Sunday morning on the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club.
