FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas tennis team is ranked 23rd in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings released on Wednesday. The Hogs improved three spots from 26th after beating Tulsa on Feb. 12 and are undefeated with a record of 7-0.
“It’s a credit to our guys that we’ve had such a good start,” Arkansas head coach Robert Cox said. “Any time you are ranked in the top 25 it is a great accomplishment. The SEC is the toughest tennis league in the country. We have a tough league schedule ahead, but I feel good about where we are.”
Arkansas isn’t the only league member gaining national attention. All 12 Southeastern Conference teams are ranked in the top 30. Georgia, Ole Miss and Kentucky are ranked in the top 10.
The Razorbacks head to Auburn this Friday before battling Alabama on Sunday. They will return home to face Florida on March 7 at 1:30 p.m.
