Razorbacks to Host Post-Match Clinic on Sunday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Following Sunday’s match against Mississippi State, the University of Arkansas volleyball team will host a clinic for children in eighth grade or under. Participation is free with each child receiving an autographed Razorback Volleyball poster. First serve of the Arkansas-Mississippi State match is scheduled for 12 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena.

Individual match tickets are $5 at the ticket window and are available for purchase one hour prior to the start of the match. Admission is free for UA students—with valid ID—and fans 17 years and younger.

The Razorbacks enter the weekend with a 13-6 overall record including a 7-1 mark on their home floor. Sunday’s match will cap the weekend that begins Friday with a road match at Texas A&M. Redshirt senior and team co-captain Pilar Victoria is the SEC and NCAA leader with 5.74 kills per set while sophomore setter Rachel Rippee ranks second in the SEC and 14th in the NCAA with 11.47 assists per set.

In its last outing, Arkansas posted its eighth straight-set win of the season with a sweep of South Carolina at Barnhill Arena. Victoria and freshman Hailey Dirrigl tallied a match-high 13 kills to pace the Razorbacks’ offense that notched a .327 hitting percentage against the Gamecocks. Defensively, Arkansas put up eight total blocks and its way to holding South Carolina to a .091 mark. The Razorbacks have at least seven blocks in their last nine matches including four double-digit efforts.
