Razorbacks Up Two Spots In National Poll

NEW ORLEANS – Following a strong end to a stacked regular season slate, the Arkansas women’s cross country team elevates to No. 10 in the final national poll before championship competition, announced Tuesday afternoon by the USTFCCCA.

Fluctuating between a top-10 spot and top-12 rank for the majority of the season, the Razorbacks proved their strength with a solid showing last weekend at the talent-saturated Pre-National Invitational.

Arkansas’ top-five finish at the competition in Terre Haute, Indiana, which featured eight nationally-ranked programs in a total field of 42, propelled the program back into the national spotlight.

The Razorbacks are one of only three Southeastern Conference programs to garner a place in the national rankings and remain the No. 1 team in the South Central Region.

Arkansas competes next at the 2016 SEC Cross Country Championship on Friday, Oct. 28 set for 10 a.m. CT at Agri Park.

Admission is free for fans of all ages.
