Razorbacks at SEC Media Day

HOOVER, Ala. — Talk of the high expectations for the University of Arkansas Razorback football team was the consistant theme as members of the team made their way from room to room at the 2010 Southeastern Conference Media Day.

Head coach Bobby Petrino, junior quarterback Ryan Mallett, senior tight end D.J. Williams and senior defensive end Jake Bequette spoke to the various groups.

RazorVision has uncut video today from the four Razorbacks’ appearance in the computer/stream media room. RazorVision will also have uncut video from the Arkansas interviews in TV2 later this week.

Along with talk about Arkansas’ prospects for 2010, several of the highlights:

Mallett opened his appearance in the TV2 room by talking about his foot, adding he’s now heard "that he has the most famous left foot in the SEC." In the internet room, the question to Ryan regarding his foot was how was his right foot. "My right foot is fine, my left foot… it’s broken," the junior quarterback said, drawing laughs from the room.

D.J. Williams followed Mallett in TV2, and once the questions slacked off toward the end of the session, he spoke up to ask what was Mallett’s opinion of throwing to his tight end. Mallett shot back without hesitation, "Well, D.J., if the tight end isn’t double covered… "

Bequette addressed the repeated questions about the Arkansas defense, and pointed out with the high expectations that surround the 2010 team that "where our defense goes our team will follow" and that the defense must step up.

As the first team up for the day along with Georgia, the Razorbacks were followed by large contigents of media.
