FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team will be represented by head coach Bobby Petrino and student-athletes Ryan Mallett, D.J. Williams and Jake Bequette at the 2010 Southeastern Conference Football Media Days in Hoover, Ala., July 21-23. The Razorbacks will be featured in the second day of coverage at the Wynfrey Hotel July 22, meeting with media from around the country between 8:30-11:10 a.m. CST.
Mallett, coming off a record-breaking sophomore campaign for the Razorbacks, is the topic of discussion for preseason honors at quarterback. The Texarkana, Ark., native set or tied 16 school passing marks.
Williams, an Arkansas senior standout at tight end, was named to the all-SEC second team in 2009. Hailing from Little Rock, Ark., Williams hauled in 32 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns.
Bequette, of Little Rock, Ark., returns to the Razorback defensive line with two years of starting experience. The junior defensive end led the squad in sacks (5.5) and quarterback hurries (8).
