Razorbacks continue bye week practices

FAYETTEVILLE –The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team held its second practice of the week Wednesday afternoon inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Willy Robinson summarized the focus of the defense as it practices during the bye week.

"It’s the footwork, the eyes, the tackling, the whole nine yards," Coach Robinson said. "And you put it together with effort."

The Razorbacks’ defense held Auburn scoreless over the last three quarters of Saturday’s game. Coach Robinson commented that the week off from games is a valuable time to work on all facets of the defense.

"This is a great week and what we’ve been really stressing is technique," Coach Robinson said. "Getting people to the ball and getting off blocks. We’ve been playing physical."

The Razorbacks return to competition Oct. 22 at Ole Miss. Following a road game at Vanderbilt the next week, Arkansas hosts South Carolina on Nov. 5 and Tennessee on Nov. 12 in Fayetteville. A limited number of tickets for both Fayetteville games remain and can be purchased by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 800-982-HOGS or online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
