FAYETTEVILLE – The 14th-ranked University of Arkansas football team held practice Wednesday afternoon inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as it continued to prepare for Saturday’s game against No. 3 Alabama.
Defensive coordinator and secondary coach Willy Robinson commented that he has been impressed with the team’s practices this week.
"They’ve been very good," Coach Robinson said. "Our kids are up to the challenge, they’re high tempo, they’re playing physical, they’re gap sound and they’re doing the things they need to be doing."
Coach Robinson mentioned that his defense is ready for the physicality that comes with the opening week of SEC play.
"We’re excited about the challenge of the physical part of it," Coach Robinson said. "But it’s also a matter of who’s not going to give up the big play."
Saturday’s game is set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium and will be nationally televised on CBS.
