BRYAN, Texas — University of Arkansas seniors Kelli Shean and Corinna Rees teed it up for the final time today hoping to lead the Razorbacks to a top 10 finish at the 2011 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship in Bryan, Texas, Saturday.
Weather and darkness delayed the finish on Friday night forcing the completion of the round Saturday morning. As a result, the Razorbacks didn’t tee off until 2:25 p.m. with their final student-athlete getting out the gate at 3:09 p.m. Players are expected to be on the course until nearly 8 p.m. in this final round.
Shean, a Cape Town, South Africa, native, began her day in a tie for fifth overall in the field. She and Rees, both graduated last weekend and are wrapping up their collegiate careers today.
