Razorbacks host No. 19 Florida on Senior Day

FAYETTEVILLE – Off a straight-set win to open the weekend, the University of Arkansas volleyball team hosts No. 19 Florida Sunday afternoon at Barnhill Arena. First serve of the Southeastern Conference matchup is scheduled for 1:03 p.m. (CT). The Razorbacks enter the weekend finale with an 18-9 overall record and a 10-6 mark in SEC play.

The match will be televised by Cox Sports Television with Bernie Guenther and Missy Whittemore handling the play-by-play and color commentary duties. For fans that can’t make it out to Barnhill Arena, the match will also be available on ESPN3.com. Sunday’s match is the third television match of the season for the Razorbacks, all of which have been on Arkansas’ home floor.

In their last outing, the Razorbacks swept South Carolina behind a trio of double-digit kill performances from Jasmine Norton, Kelli Stipanovich and Amanda Anderson. Arkansas’ offense posted a season-high .430 hitting percentage, tied for the fifth-highest figure in school history.

For the season, Norton is sixth in the SEC with 3.51 kills per set and Stipanovich is also ranked within the top with in the conference with 3.32 kills per set. Sunday’s match will pit two of the best defensive teams in the conference. The Gators lead the SEC by holding opponents to a .158 hitting percentage and Arkansas is right behind, limiting opponents to a .174 figure.
