Razorbacks practice and enjoy Thanksgiving

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team continued practice Thursday with a morning workout as preparation continues for this Saturday’s game against LSU. The 12th-ranked Razorback squad (9-2, 5-2, SEC) meets the sixth-ranked Tigers (10-1, 6-1, SEC) inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark., in a game to be broadcast nationally on CBS at 2:30 p.m.

Following the morning workout, the team enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving lunch with the coaching staff and their families.

UA has won its last seven games played in Little Rock, which is tied for the seventh-longest streak in program history. The Razorbacks boast an all-time record of 136-65-4 (.673) in the state’s capital and a 145-52-2 (.724) mark in War Memorial Stadium.

For the 15th straight time, Arkansas and LSU will be playing for "The Golden Boot," a trophy shaped like the two states combined. The trophy was first introduced prior to the 1996 game and, at approximately 175 pounds, is believed to be the heaviest trophy awarded in a college football rivalry.
