FAYETTEVILLE – The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team held its Thursday practice inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as it continued preparation for Saturday’s SEC matchup with No. 15 Auburn.
Head coach Bobby Petrino met with the media after practice and emphasized how important playing at home will be for his football team.
“It’s good to be home,” Coach Petrino said. “We really need our crowd to come out and give us a big lift and I think we’ve had a good week of preparation. Our focus has been very good, our effort was as good as its been all throughout the week. I’m excited about the game. I feel like we’re prepared and we should play well.”
Coach Petrino continued to reflect on the previous week of practice and how the players are excited to be back on their home field.
“We’ve had a good week,” Coach Petrino said. “I’ve been excited about it. Our players have really focused and worked hard. I think our energy is high and it’s as hard and as fast as we’ve practiced all year.”
