Razorbacks preparing for Red-White Game

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team continued spring practice inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Saturday afternoon.

After practice head coach Bret Bielema spoke with the media about the excitement for next week’s Red-White Spring Game.

“It has been a steady crescendo from our stand point from the coaches and players,” Coach Bielema said. “It looks like we have a chance for some great weather next weekend and I know you set a record last year being 45,000. I want to break that to 50 or more.”Coach Bielema also commented on format of play for Saturday’s scrimmage.

“To entice it a little more,” Coach Bielema said. “We have gotten so much better every day because we have been going good good the whole time. We have been ones, ones for competitive situations. So, for the whole first half next Saturday, unless something dramatically changes we are going to go ones, ones. So you will see the best of Arkansas on both sides of the ball going at it.”

Practice continues next week with workouts scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday and the Red-White Spring Game on Saturday. The Red-White Spring-Game is sponsored by Cox and will be at 2 p.m. on April 20 inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Admission to the game is free.

This years Red-White Spring Game will be broadcast in high-definition by CST. CST is available on channel 2119 on Cox systems in Arkansas, and Cox Advanced TV with Sports & Information tier is required. The game also will be available outside the CST viewing area on ESPN3.com and carried on the Razorback Sports Network throughout the state.
