FAYETTEVILLE – After claiming its third NCAA South Central Regional title in a row, the University of Arkansas women’s cross country team held the No. 3 spot in the USTFCCCA coaches poll Monday, before the 2013 NCAA National Championship Meet. The Razorbacks scored 33 points in the meet to earn the largest margin of victory in the NCAA South Central Regional en route to the programs 18th regional title. Sophomore Dominique Scott earned a second-place finish for the meet with a time of 20:04.6 to start the pack of Razorbacks across the finish line. Scott would earn a spot on the All-Region team for the second time in her career. Junior Shannon Klenke was next to finish in third-place with a time of 20:13.9 to also earn her second All-Region honors for her career. The Razorbacks’ seven runners each finished in the top 20 earning All-Region honors and the top five all finished in the top 11 for the meet. The Razorbacks will return to the course for the final meet of the season on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Terre Haute Ind. The women’s 6k is schedule to start at 12:15 p.m. USTFCCCA top 10 1. Providence 2.
