FAYETTEVILLE— The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team held its Thursday practice inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as it continued preparation for Saturday’s SEC matchup with Ole Miss.
Head coach Bobby Petrino met with the media after practice and talked about how much the team got accomplished over the last two weeks.
“I feel good about our mindset,” Coach Petrino said. “We’re practicing faster than we have all year long, which is good. We’re as healthy as we’ve been in a while and we’re looking forward to going on the road, getting up early and it’s important for us to get off to a fast start.”
Coach Petrino went on to say how focused the team has been throughout the week and is expecting them to have a good performance on Saturday.
“We want to go out and have our best performance to date,” Coach Petrino said. “Each player is striving to have their best performance this weekend. That’s what our focus is, that’s what our concentration is and that’s usually how you play the best. You worry about playing one play at a time and better than you did the last time out.”
Kickoff for Saturday’s game inside Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss., is set for 11:21 a.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
The Razorbacks play at Vanderbilt on Oct. 29 at 11:21 a.m. before hosting South Carolina on Nov. 5 and Tennessee on Nov. 12 in Fayetteville. A limited number of tickets for both Fayetteville games remain and can be purchased by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 800-982-HOGS or online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
