FAYETTEVILLE The No. 6 Arkansas men’s cross country team is ready to take on the field at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational that will feature 20 of the top 30 teams in the USTFCCCA national rankings, including five of the top 10. The men’s 8K is slated for an 11 a.m. start. The Razorbacks are coming off a team win in the 25th Annual Chile Pepper Festival with an overall second place finish from senior Kemoy Campbell, who was name the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Runner of the Week alongside Aidan Swain who was named the SEC Freshman of the Week. “This is why we schedule this meet,” head coach Chris Bucknam said. “We want to get our guys in on the best competition we can leading up to the SEC meet. There will be some great competition and we can think of a better meet to be at. This should be a great challenge for us.” The field for the race will include fellow SEC foe No. 24 Florida as well as No. 14 Texas who is also in the South Central Region along with the Razorbacks. There will also be four more teams in the top 10 in No. 3 Northern Arizona, No. 5 BYU, No. 7 Portland and No. 8 Columbia. For the first time, live video of the meet will be available at Flotrack.org.
