FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Three Arkansas newcomers head to Annapolis, Md. Friday for the annual Navy Invitational on the campus of the United States Naval Academy.
It is the second weekend of competition for the Razorbacks, who sent two players to Athens, Ga. last weekend to compete in the Southern Intercollegiate. Three different Hogs will travel to Annapolis, and all three will be making their collegiate debut.
Freshmen Dmitry Lebedev, Jorge Villanueva and Dmitry Vlaskin will take the courts in Cardinal and White for the first time Friday. Those three will join players from Maryland, Navy, Oklahoma and St. Joseph’s.
The Navy Invitational runs Friday through Sunday. After traveling to Annapolis, the Hogs will head to Waco, Texas for the Baylor Invitational Sept. 22-24.
