Razorbacks women?s tennis host clinic

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -The Arkansas women’s tennis team hosted a free tennis clinic for children this past weekend at the Dills Indoor Tennis courts inside the Billingsley Tennis Center.

The team partnered with LifeSource International, a local non-profit organization geared to strengthening families and building communities, to host the event.

"Introducing the sport of tennis to these youngsters is a very rewarding way for our team to invest in our community," Arkansas coach Michael Hegarty said. "LifeSource is a quality organization, and everyone had a lot of fun while getting some good physical activity."

The Razorback’s recently completed a successful fall season, advancing to the finals in both singles and doubles at the ITA Central Regional Championships. Coming off a Round of 16 appearance at the NCAA Championships in 2009, the Hogs begin the 2010 dual match season by hosting Oklahoma State, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. Central time.
