@RazorbackSD Closes Competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – Senior Nikki Daniels’ second event win of the Georgia Tech Invite paced the Arkansas women’s swimming and diving team on the final day of the invitational at the GT Aquatic Center. Daniels improved upon her prelim time in the 200 breaststroke to blow away the competition in the finals with a time of 2:11.66.

Daniels picked up both the 100 and 200 breaststroke titles over the weekend, clocking top-10 times in the nation on both swims.

Junior Anna Mayfield led the field after the prelims with a time of 1:55.07 in the 200 backstroke. In the finals, Mayfield touched the wall second, improving on her NCAA ‘B’ cut time from the prelims (1:54.84).

In the 100 freestyle, junior Nina Drolc snagged a fourth-place finish with a time of 49.53. Junior Maddie Monroe took sixth (49.59) and senior Susanna White claimed 10^th (51.08).

To conclude the competition, the 400 freestyle relay team of Anna Mayfield, Nina Drolc, Susanna White, Maddie Monroe took fourth (3:18.86).

The Razorbacks claimed second place in the invitational standings with 861.5 points. Florida grabbed first place (1359) and Florida State took third (686).

UP NEXT

Arkansas women’s swimming and diving will migrate south to Florida for its annual training week. Swimming will spend Dec. 29- Jan.4 in Del Ray Beach, Florida and diving will train in Miami, Jan. 1-7.
