IRVINE, Calif. – Arkansas women’s swim returned to the pool for an impressive second-day showing at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships in the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Complex in Irvine, California, Thursday morning.
Junior swimmer Nikki Daniels clocked a new lifetime-best time of 2:35.63 in the 200-meter breaststroke and placed 47th overall.
In the long course 50-meter freestyle time trial, sophomore Maddie Monroe touched the wall first for a top-place finish in her heat (26.28).
Sophomore Rachel Stoehr returned to the pool after an impressive day one, clocking a time of 58.67 in the long course 100-meter freestyle time trial. Fellow sophomore Razorback Liz Braun joined Stoehr in the event with a time of 1:12.09.
Stoehr continued the day in the long course 200 freestyle time trial, placing sixth in her heat (2:04.18).
Junior Lauren Jordan swam the long course 100-meter backstroke time trial and clocked in a time of 1:04.76.
The Razorbacks will continue competition at the US Nationals on Friday for day three of the competition. Results and live results can be found at USASwimming.org.
