FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On the heels of a straight-set win Friday, the University of Arkansas volleyball team closes out the weekend with a Sunday afternoon matchup against Mississippi State. First serve of the SEC contest is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Single-match tickets are $5 for adults while UA students and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

Arkansas (7-7, 1-0 SEC) owns the 35-5 advantage in the all-time series with Mississippi State and has won 18 of the 19 matches played in Fayetteville between the two programs. The Razorbacks’ 35 wins against MSU are the most against any SEC team. Under head coach Robert Pulliza, Arkansas is 9-2 against Mississippi State with six-consecutive wins in the series.
In their last outing, the Razorbacks opened conference play with a straight-set win (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) over Tennessee at Barnhill Arena. Arkansas registered a season-best .339 hitting percentage against the Lady Vols and were paced by a match-high 24 kills from Meredith Hays. She was joined in double figures by Samantha Skinner who had a season-high 10 kills in the match. The win was Arkansas’ first over Tennessee in Fayetteville since the 2006 season.
