@RazorbackWTEN Shuts Out Oral Roberts, 7-0

BIXLY, Okla. – In the final non-conference match of season, the No. 38 Arkansas women’s tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Oral Roberts Tuesday evening at Bixby High School.

With the loss the Razorbacks improve to 15-12 overall, while the Golden Eagles fall to 6-11 on the season.

Arkansas got on the board first in doubles, as they took all three doubles matches. In singles action Yuliya Lysa defeated Petya Simeonova 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 and Mia Jurasic dropped the first set but rallied to beat Andrada Gordan 4-6, 6-4, 13-11 on court two.

Flavia Araujo, on court three, knocked off Marizanne Bouwer 6-4, 7-5, while Nicole Breaux defeated Brenda Mercado Jove 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4. Peyton Jennings got by Ximena Puentes 7-5, 6-4 at court five and Nastassia Rubel handled Nika Munoz 6-1, 6-0 on court six.

The Razorbacks will return to action this weekend when they hit the road for the final matches of the regular season. Arkansas will battle Alabama on Friday, April 10, before heading to Auburn to face the Tigers on Sunday, April 12.
