@RazorbackWTEN Tripped Up At No. 20 Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 38 Arkansas women’s tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to the No. 20 Kentucky Wildcats at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Complex on Friday evening.

With the loss the Razorbacks fall to 12-8 overall and 2-4 in conference play, while UK improves to 13-6 on the season and 4-2 in SEC competition.

The Wildcats took the double point after got on the board first in doubles, after winning matches on courts No. 1 (8-4) and No. 3 (8-5).

In singles action, Kentucky won matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 to take the match 4-0. Mami Adachi gave UK it’s first singles victory of the day when she got by Sasha Shkorupeieva 6-1, 6-3.

At court No. 2, Makenzie Craft fell to Aldila Sutjiadi 6-4, 6-4 to put the Wildcats ahead 3-0 in the match. Nadia Ravita, ranked No. 85 individually, clinched the match for UK when she defeated Arkansas’ nationally ranked singles player (No. 117) Yuliya Lysa 6-3, 7-5.

Arkansas will return to action on Sunday, March 22, as they will face No. 12 Vanderbilt at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. CT start, with live stats being provided via VUCommodores.com.
