@RazorbackWTEN Defeated 4-0 In Dual Match At Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Playing on the backend of a four-match road trip, the No. 45 University of Arkansas women’s tennis team was defeated 4-0 in shortened play by No. 4 Florida in Gainesville, Fla., on Friday.

Shannon Hudson made her second consecutive appearance at No. 1 singles and battled with No. 17 Brianna Morgan, but the freshman’s match would go unfinished as the Razorbacks (12-11, 2-7 SEC) lost four singles matches and the Gators (14-4, 6-2 SEC) earned a dual match victory.

Due to impending rain in the Gainesville, Fla., area, the match was moved up in start time and then immediately halted once the team winner had been determined. Singles play started the dual match and as a result doubles matches were never played.

The Razorbacks head to Columbia, S.C., next for a dual match against No. 65 South Carolina at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
