FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –To cap its second week of preseason camp, the University of Arkansas volleyball team will host its annual Red-White scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 12 p.m. The first-look event is free and open to the public with doors at Barnhill Arena opening at 11 a.m.
Prior to the Red-White scrimmage, head coach Jason Watson and the Razorbacks will hold an open practice for all season-ticket holders beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pricing options for season tickets begin at $40 and are now available for purchase through the Razorback Ticket Center by calling 800-982-HOGS (4647). In their second season under Watson’s direction, the Razorbacks return eight letterwinners including preseason All-SEC pick Pilar Victoria and fellow seniors Krista Kolbinskie and Kori Ortiz. Arkansas also welcomes back juniors Kelly O’Brien and Okiana Valle, and sophomores Fernanda Güitron, Rachel Rippee and Reagan Robinson. Arkansas’ incoming freshman class received Highest Honorable Mention accolades from PrepVolleyball.
The Razorbacks take the floor Aug. 25-26 for the season-opening Arkansas Classic at Barnhill Arena and are set to host a field that features CSU Bakersfield, ULM and Utah State. The Razorbacks are set to play 10 matches against eight teams that advanced to last year’s NCAA Tournament and eight teams that appear in the AVCA preseason poll.
