FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas men’s basketball team takes the court for a Red-White scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 3 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena, head coach Mike Anderson announced on Monday. While the event is free to the public, fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Bud Walton Arena for collection and distribution to area food banks. The Razorbacks began their season officially on Oct. 14 when Mike Anderson and his team took the floor at Bud Walton Arena for the first time at Primetime at the Palace. The Red-White scrimmage will be Arkansas’ final game simulation before opening the exhibition schedule on Friday, Nov. 4, against Texas A&M-Commerce. “Using a Razorback basketball preseason event to collect items for area food banks is something that we did for years,” Anderson said. “It is my hope that everyone will be able to donate to a great cause. There is no reason that the citizens of Northwest Arkansas should go hungry.” Along with the scrimmage, fans will get a chance to meet Arkansas’ players with a 45-minute autograph session on the Bud Walton Arena concourse beginning at 1:45 p.m. Season tickets for Razorback basketball games are on sale at the Razorback Ticket Center by calling 1-800-982-HOGS or by going on-line at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Ticket packages are $500 and include admission to all 20 regular season games at Bud Walton Arena as well as both exhibition contests.
