Redlicki Wins Friday, Advances To Collegiate Invitational Final

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Former Razorback Mike Redlicki continued his dominance at the U.S. Open’s Collegiate Invitational on Friday, defeating Brandon Holt of the University of Southern California 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, to advance to Saturday’s final.

The lefty is set to face Tom Fawcett of Stanford at 11 a.m. in the same venue that he won the ITA/USTA National Indoor Championship last year against Mikael Torpegaard of Ohio State.

“We are really excited for Mike to play for the championship tomorrow,” said Arkansas head coach Andy Jackson. “It is the same venue he won the Indoor National Championship in November. This championship comes with a much bigger prize of getting a wild card into next year’s U.S. Open.

On Thursday, Redlicki defeated Christopher Eubanks of Georgia Tech 6-2, 6-4 to advance to Friday’s semifinals.

During his senior year in Fayetteville, the All-American finished 28-11 overall, including a 20-8 mark against ranked competition. He wrapped up his collegiate career ranked as the No. 12 singles player in the country, the fourth highest in the Southeastern Conference. At the NCAA Championships, Redlicki advanced to the round of 32.
