Reynolds is a Crossfit Qualifier

PLANO, Texas. – Former University of Arkansas All-American swimmer Tara Reynolds Blankenship qualified for the Reebok CrossFit games on July 21-23. The CrossFit games will be held at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Each July, the CrossFit games crowns the Fittest Man and Woman on Earth. All the athletes have to prepare and train for the unknown.

“I am so excited to have qualified for the Crossfit Games.” Blankenship said. “I’m extremely proud to be one of the top 20 fittest women in the world in my age group and in the top one percent of crossfitters to earn the right to compete. I look forward to the experience representing North Plano Crossfit and the Razorbacks!”

Reynolds competed at Arkansas from 1988-92. During that time she swam the 100 free, 200 free, 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 back and 200 back. She was a two-time All-American in the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay. Blankenship was also a graduate assistant for the program in 1993.
