OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — University of Arkansas sophomore-to-be Summar Roachell and sophomore-to-be Kayli Quinton won their first round matches moving on the round of 16 at the 99th Women’s Southern Golf Association Amateur Championship at Gallarida Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla., Tuesday. Rochelle, a Conway, Ark., native, posted a stroke play round of 70 on Monday finishing as the second seed in the championship flight of match play. She defeated the University of Mobile’s Heather Nail. Roachell faces Emee Herbert at 9:02 a.m. Wednesday. Quinton, of Pilot Point, Texas, tied for third shooting 72 in stroke play. She faced and defeated Jessica Schiele. Quinton takes on Samantha Stewart at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday. Former Razorback Lucy Nunn also advanced in the championship bracket. Nunn defeated Susan West and faces Alisa White at 8:46 a.m. in the round of 16. Sophomore-to-be Olivia Lavy and former Razorbacks Corinna Rees and Hally Leadbetter all lost their matches Tuesday.
