Road Trip to LSU for SEC Opener
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Playing an opponent it has faced more than any other in program history, the University of Arkansas volleyball team opens Southeastern Conference play Sunday afternoon at LSU. First serve of the match is scheduled for 1 p.m. (CT) at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Arkansas and LSU will be playing for the 46th time with the Razorbacks holding a 27-18 advantage overall with victories in 12 of 22 matches played on the Tigers’ home floor. In SEC openers, Arkansas carries a 13-9 record including three straight. The Razorbacks are facing LSU for the fourth time in an SEC opener with wins in the previous three meetings in 2002, 2003 and 2015.
On the heels of a 17-kill performance at Oral Roberts, senior co-captain Danielle Harbin begins SEC play ranked third in the league with a team-leading 3.95 kills per set and 4.43 points per set. She has 10 or more kills in nine of 12 matches this season. Fellow senior and co-captain Breana Jones is 10th in the SEC with 1.09 blocks per set. Sophomore libero Okiana Valle rounds out Arkansas’ top-10 performers at fifth in the conference with 3.93 digs per set.
Following Sunday’s match at LSU, the Razorbacks return to Fayetteville for their SEC home opener on Sept. 30 when they host Missouri at Barnhill Arena.
