Road Trip to Play No. 4 Florida, South Carolina

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas volleyball team plays its next three matches on the road beginning with a weekend road trip to its eastern-most conference opponents in fourth-ranked Florida and South Carolina. The Razorbacks enter Friday’s match in Gainesville with a 17-8 overall record and a 7-6 mark in SEC play.

Match Notes

All-Time Series vs Florida
The Razorbacks enter Friday’s match looking for their first road win against Florida in Gainesville. The teams played to five sets Sept. 24 in Fayetteville, a 3-2 win for the Gators.

All-Time Series vs South Carolina
Arkansas has won five of the last seven in the series dating back to 2013, including a 3-0 win earlier this season (Oct. 13) in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks have won 10 of the 17 matches played on South Carolina’s home floor.

Last Time Out
Responding from a 1-0 match deficit, the Razorbacks beat Texas A&M in five sets for the program’s first home win over the Aggies. Arkansas improved to 6-4 in five-set matches this season and improved to 9-2 at Barnhill Arena.

Career-Best Weekend
Freshman Elizabeth Pamphile matched her career high with 12 kills against LSU (Nov. 3) and followed by tying her best of seven blocks against Texas A&M (Nov. 5). In the last nine matches, Pamphile is hitting .348 with seven or more kills in seven of those nine outings.

RPI Watch
Arkansas held steady at No. 45 in the Nov. 6 release of the NCAA RPI rankings. The Razorbacks are one of seven teams from the SEC positioned inside the top 50. Four of their last five regular-season opponents are in the top 40.

We’re Going Five
Arkansas’ five-set win over Texas A&M (Nov. 5) marked the Razorbacks’ 10th five setter of the season and is the sixth time the program has played 10 or more five-set matches. The program record is 12 five setters in 2009.

Setter-Hitter Connection
Redshirt senior Pilar Victoria enters this weekend’s slate of matches with an NCAA-leading 556 kills and ranks second in the nation with 5.67 kills per set. In running the offense, setter Rachel Rippee is second in the SEC and 15th in the NCAA with 11.45 assists per set.
