Robert Felton Honored by the Southeastern Conference

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Arkansas senior offensive guard Robert Felton will be featured this week as the SEC Community Service Team Player of the Week on this weekend’s Lincoln Financial Sports telecasts of the Alabama at Mississippi State and Arkansas at Tennessee contests.

The Houston Texas native, is a three-year lettermen and starting right guard for the Razorbacks. He recently completed his undergraduate degree in criminal justice and sociology and is now working on a master’s degree.

During his time as a Razorback, Felton has participated in the Book Hogs reading program, making four to five school visits per year to read to children, and participated in Dr. Seuss’ Read Across America. He has also made visits to veterans’ homes.

With Arkansas Athletes Outreach (AAO), Felton has participated in Razorbacks for Christmas, spending time with children during the holidays, Razorbacks for Kids (activities, bowling, games with children) and Katrina refugee outreaches including clothing and food drives.

Each week during the SEC football season, Lincoln Financial Sports will highlight a representative of the 2007 SEC Football Good Works Team. Student-Athletes earn SEC Good Works Team recognition for their community service and campus activities.

The SEC sponsors 16 Good Works Teams during the season, including one for each sport in the SEC, combining the indoor and outdoor track & field and cross country teams into one unit.
